“What is on your “to do list” when you get home?  Meaning what will be something you do to amplify this experience?”

I made the decision to film special moments and sights while on the trip, and one of the first things I plan on doing is editing all of the footage together into a cohesive story. I’m really excited to look back on everything for the first time, listening to myself living out those moments in real time. I’ve also been writing a lot; I got a new journal specifically to use while abroad and in the weeks following my return. It was a little difficult to fully verbalize the emotions I felt, so I’m looking forward to sitting with myself and finding the words to describe all I experienced.

The final, and arguably most important, item on my to do list is to spend time with my little sister and the rest of my immediate family. Being so far away has solidified how much I need them and their support! My sister Millie and I already have a detailed set of activities to complete in the short time between my return home and departure back to Tuscaloosa. The summer has gone by so fast, I really want to make the most of what free moments I have left before I’m thrown into the hustle and bustle of junior year.
